Founded in the summer of 2012, Saving At Risk Animals is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization located in Tucson Arizona that works closely with Pima Animal Care Center to save sick, injured, or orphaned cats and kittens at risk of euthanasia.
Our cats are placed solely in foster homes — we have no central shelter — so all of our rescues get one-on-one medical care and socialization. The benefit of our cats being in foster homes is that we get to know their personalities very well. So, if you’re looking for a specific type of cat (lap cat, independent, etc.) let us know and we’ll find you a match!
The Adoption process includes an application and conversation, meet and greet and a home visit. Criteria will vary based on the specific needs and personalities of the individual cats. Adoption fee of $130 for all cats covers spay/neuter surgery, microchip, testing for feline leukemia/FIV, vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP), a certificate for free veterinary wellness exam, adoption care packet, cat care/training DVD and follow-up support.
