A 501(c)3 cat rescue based in Tucson, AZ
Here at SARA, we can’t do what we do without people like you to help! We are always seeking committed foster homes to help save even more lives. Every cat in SARA’s care is placed into a foster home so that they can all get the one-on-one attention, nurturing, and socialization they need. The number of lives we can save is limited by the number of foster homes we have.
Fostering is a temporary commitment, but we are unable to give an exact length of stay. Typically, cats/kittens remain in foster care anywhere from 4 to 12 weeks, but length varies based on many factors. We ask that you please be committed to fostering your cat for an indefinite period of time, and require at least seven days’ notice should you be unable to continue fostering.
When you foster, we provide all pre-approved medical care. This includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, and treatment for any medical issues that they may have. We’re there to support you every step of the way. In return, we ask that you make your foster cat available for vet appointments and adoption events. We also ask that you provide us with pictures and information about your foster cat’s personality so that we can post on our website, Petfinder, and Facebook to find a home! If the time comes and you decide that you simply can’t part with your foster cat or kitten, you’re welcome to “foster fail.” It sounds bad, but really all it means is that you adopt your foster cat yourself!
